Following a loss to the New York Yankees on Thursday night, Oakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman wore a familiar jersey.
The two-time gold glove-winning fielder donned a Klay Thompson “We Believe” edition No. 11 jersey to the postgame press conference at the Oakland Coliseum. When asked about his jersey choice, Chapman said he “loved” the jersey and called Thompson “awesome.”
Thompson took notice, sharing a photo of Chapman on his Instagram with a message. Alongside a picture of Chapman wearing his jersey, Thompson posted “shooters shoot” on his Instagram story.
