English Premier League: Chelsea at Liverpool odds, picks and prediction

Analyzing Saturday’s Chelsea at Liverpool odds and lines, with EPL picks and predictions.

In the most-anticipated match of the EPL weekend, Chelsea (2 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws) visits Liverpool (2-0-0) Saturday. The match is set to kickoff at 12:30 p.m. ET at Anfield. Below, we preview the Chelsea vs. Liverpool odds and lines, and make our best EPL bets, picks and predictions.

With the return of F Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea has looked unstoppable. Currently sitting third in the EPL, it has yet to concede a goal so far this season.

Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace to kick off the season then took down a short-handed Arsenal 2-0. However, this challenge will be a completely different beast. Liverpool is also undefeated and is yet to give up a goal.

Liverpool thrashed recently-promoted Norwich City and then took down Burnley, so neither side has truly shown what it’s capable of. Despite being an early-season match, this will be much-watch EPL action.

Prediction

Liverpool 1, Chelsea 1

Money line (ML)

“LEAN” to the DRAW (+230) as these teams are both coming in hot and should have a highly competitive battle.

Winger Mason Mount looked to set up Lukaku very well, and that duo should be dynamic in the attack. American winger Christian Pulisic will be sidelined.

For Liverpool, expect F Sadio Mane and F Mohamed Salah both to have an impact, but given the defensive presence also in this match, the elite attackers should be held in check in terms of a multitude of goals being scored.

Both sides are among the best in the EPL. With both teams surging offensively, the -140 to get BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE also offers good value.

Over/Under (O/U)

BET on the UNDER 2.5 (-125) as neither side has given up a goal this season. While there’s no denying the offensive side of both teams is above average, last season’s matchups tell us the Under is the better bet.

While we can talk about the offense all day, neither side has given up a goal. Chelsea D César Azpilicueta and Liverpool M Naby Keïta both rank in the top five in tackles.

With veteran goalies and D Virgil van Dijk, arguably the best defender in the world, expected to play, the Under is the easy bet. The two teams combined for 3 goals in their last two meetings.
