Jaida Thomas opened Tennessee’s scoring in the 16th minute of the match. She would finish the game with a goal and one assist.
The Lady Vols scored four markers before halftime as Maddie Eskin, Claudia Dipasupil, Emmy Schleifer all tallied within the first 45 minutes.
Hannah Tillett extended the Lady Vols’ advantage to 5-0 in the 74th minute before Taylor Huff scored in the 89th minute.
Tennessee outshot the Golden Eagles, 30-5, with 18 of the Lady Vols’ scoring chances landing on target.
Only one of Tennessee Tech’s shots landed on frame.
Tennessee returns home Sunday to face Louisiana at Regal Soccer Stadium.
