Earlier this offseason, the former world-wide leader in ESPN ranked the Buffalo Bills’ 2021 schedule the third-easiest in the NFL.
Now it’s the seventh-easiest. Which is still pretty good. According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Bills are at the 26th-hardest schedule in the NFL currently.
But there is a hint of bad news and reason for the word “currently.”
Previously the Bills landed at the No. 30 spot based on current rosters. That study came out in May.
Evidently since then, the Bills’ opponents improved a bit.
Here’s the bad part: The Dolphins now have a much easier schedule and the softest in the AFC East, per the report.
After slotting in with the No. 28 toughest schedule in May, the Dolphins now are at 31… otherwise known as the second-easiest.
Regardless, the Bills will focus on themselves… but that could possibly mean the Dolphins might have a decent season ahead of them, if things go according to plan.
In terms of the Patriots and Jets, those two land at the No. 23 and No. 17 positions, respectively.
