Will Grier was a star at West Virginia. The competition is a lot tougher in the NFL, though and since the Panthers drafted him he’s been relegated to a backup role. Heading into his third year in the league, the Charlotte native says he’s embracing that and focused on being ready.

Grier has been getting reps with the second-team on offense the last couple of days at practice, possibly indicating that he’s catching up with P.J. Walker in the battle to become the team’s QB2 behind Sam Darnold.
