The 2020 Tokyo Olympics are now underway, and the Philadelphia 76ers have a representative in the games in Matisse Thybulle for Australia. The second-year guard out of Washington has decided to participate and he is already making an impact as things got underway on Sunday.
Thybulle played 23 minutes, but he had a normal Thybulle game as he came up with seven points, four rebounds, two assists, and he also came up with five steals. Australia was able to come away with an 84-67 win over Nigeria in the Group stage of the Olympics.
Thybulle had two games where he recorded five steals during the season. That came on March 11 against the Chicago Bulls and on May 8 against the Detroit Pistons. Now, the All-Defensive Second Team member is doing it on the international stage.

This will be a good experience for Thybulle moving forward and it will be something that he can learn from by playing with some of the world’s best athletes. He just needs to continue to work and grow as a player on the offensive end of the floor.
