Georgia faces a really good problem to have on offense: Too many weapons.
From JT Daniels to Zamir White, James Cook, Arik Gilbert, Darnell Washington, Jermaine Burton, Arian Smith, Kearis Jackson and a stacked offensive line, Georgia’s offense should have no issues moving the ball this year.
“We’ve got a lot of guys that can play ball at any moment,” Daniels said at the SEC Media Days. “There’s so many guys that you can put in, and I don’t think twice.”
“The only problem is there is only one ball,” he continued. “It’s a great problem to have. You have a lot of guys who are going to push each other that can all play. There’s more guys on this team than you normally see that can be in the game that are no different than your ones. It means more preparation work and more time spent really intentionally figuring out who goes where and what is the best way we use our pieces. Everybody wants the ball, and I want to get everybody the ball. It’s definitely part of my mission to do that. The most important thing on the team for everyone is to win. Whoever gives the best chance to do that, we’ll put players where they need to be.”
Daniels looks ready to lead the Bulldogs in 2021 and he should be one of the nation’s top quarterbacks at the end of the season.
He had a phenomenal first year with Georgia, throwing for 1,231 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions in four games.
Everything seemed to click when Daniels lined up under center, and years of built-up frustration with the Georgia offense began to slip away
