In both team’s last Group Stage match, El Salvador (2-0-0) will take on Mexico (1-0-1). Kickoff is slated for 10 p.m. ET at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas. Below, we preview the El Salvador vs. Mexico odds and lines, and make our best soccer bets, picks and predictions.
While Mexico enters as the heavy favorite, it’s El Salvador which currently leads Group A. It has yet to concede a goal while scoring two of its own through its first two matches.
As for the Mexican side, it’s coming in as the more talented team, but it did draw Trinidad and Tobago. Mexico blasted 30 shots with 7 on target, so things just weren’t going its way.
Regardless, this will be the most challenging game for both sides.

Prediction
Mexico 1, El Salvador 1
Money line (ML)
“Lean” to the DRAW +525 as the only real value on the money line. I still wouldn’t put more than a quarter unit on it as Mexico is the more skilled side.
However, after tying Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico’s -550 value isn’t great. Along those lines, El Salvador has looked solid to open the tournament. It had 40 shots while its opponents have had 13.
It’s not just luck either. F Alex Roldán is a real threat, having scored already this tournament, and plays for the MLS’s best team. Expect El Salvador to push Mexico’s limits in this one.

Over/Under (O/U)
“Lean” to the UNDER 2.5 (+130) as neither side has yet to concede.
There’s no denying both offenses have some firepower, but at the same time, both defenses have been superb so far.
Mexico has scored three and given up zero. El Salvador has scored four and given up zero. Both teams have allowed their opponents little opportunity as well.
D Eriq Zavaleta plays for Toronto FC and is leading the El Salvador back line. Mexico also has an experienced backline.
While I’d still only place half a unit on it, combine the two sides, and three of the four Unders have hit so far this tournament. It’s a risky bet, but it’s the only one I’d consider on the total.
