Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman was nabbed in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he looks to make an immediate splash. Below, we look at Rashod Bateman‘s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
Bateman joins a Baltimore team on the move, with several tremendous skill position players already in place. It will be interesting to see how the rookie from Minnesota is folded in.
The first-year receiver will be challenging Marquise Brown, Sammy Watkins, fellow rookie Tylan Wallace and speedster Devin Duvernay for a piece of the receiver pie in 2021.

Bateman has been going off the board anywhere from Round 6 through Round 12, depending on if a league is a keeper format or not. In redraft, non-IDP leagues, he is trending in the neighborhood of Rounds 11-12.
The rookie obviously has quite a bright future, and he could make an immediate impact in Charm City right off the bat. The good news is that he will have a full offseason to jell with 2019 MVP QB Lamar Jackson.
Initially, Bateman opted out of the 2020 season with Minnesota due to COVID-19, but he opted back in once the Big Ten announced it would indeed play in the fall rather than the spring. It’s a good thing he did, as he played his way into a huge payday as a first-round pick.

Where should you take Rashod Bateman in your fantasy football draft?
Bateman really helped himself by playing for the Golden Gophers last season, and he is headed to a really good situation in Baltimore with a top-notch quarterback and exciting offense. However, there are a lot of mouths to feed in Charm City, and it’s possible the rookie could get off to a very slow start.
I expect Hollywood Brown, Watkins and even Miles Boykin to be the big winners of targets and stats early on in the season, while Bateman and Wallace grow in their first pro action. I wouldn’t necessarily depend on Bateman as anything more as a WR6 in redraft formats, with a little bit of upside. As such, a selection in Round 11 or later is warranted.
In fantasy, you never want to draft more than one or two rookies, so make it count, and grab guys who are obviously going to make an immediate impact. I don’t think Bateman checks that box, at least in the first half of the season.
