Boston Celtics All-Star wing Jaylen Brown recently made an appearance on the “Jimmy Kimmel Live” show and participated in a wild trick-basket contest to win money for his 7uice Foundation. The Georgia native bested inflatable defenders and a rotating hoop to sink a shot on his third try worth $25,000 for his organization, dedicated to helping disadvantaged kids get quality educations.
He also won a commemorative doll for his efforts, which — truth be told — looks more like Chucky of slasher movie fame than anything celebratory. Brown made light of the level of difficulty the “Hell Hoops” challenge (as it was billed) presented later on Twitter, tweeting “Too Easy make it a little harder next time.”
The Cal-Berkeley product competed in the challenge sans any sort of brace or cast on the wrist he had season-ending surgery on early this year however, a positive sign that the star forward will be able to compete with the Celtics sooner than some perhaps anticipated.
