The Toronto Blue Jays (43-39) and Baltimore Orioles (27-57) play the opener of a three-game set Tuesday at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook‘s lines around the Blue Jays vs. Orioles odds with MLB picks and predictions.
LHP Steven Matz is the projected starting pitcher for the Blue Jays. He is 7-3 with a 4.60 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 9.7 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 through 72 1/3 IP over 14 starts.
Matz was hammered for 4 earned runs on 5 hits and no walks with 3 strikeouts across just 2 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Seattle Mariners last Wednesday. He ended June 1-1 with a 6.39 ERA over three starts; it was his worst month of the season.
RHP Spenser Watkins makes his first MLB start and just his second career appearance Tuesday. He tossed 1 scoreless inning out of the bullpen with no hits, walk or strikeouts against the Los Angeles Angels Friday.
The 28-year-old was a 30th-round pick of the Detroit Tigers in the 2014 MLB June Amateur Draft.

- Money line: Blue Jays -190 (bet $190 to win $100) | Orioles +160 (bet $100 to win $160)
- Against the spread/ATS: Blue Jays -1.5 (-130) | Orioles +1.5 (+105)
- Over/Under: 11 (O: -105 | U: -115)
Prediction
Blue Jays 8, Orioles 4
Money line (ML)
The BLUE JAYS (-190) are a little bit expensive on the road, but they’re worth the price. Matz has been erratic lately, but at least he’ll go deep into the game.
The Orioles counter with an opener, and a cadre of bullpen pitchers, and that won’t fly against the high-octane Jays offense.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
The BLUE JAYS -1.5 (-130) are a strong play on the run line. The Orioles dropped their last four games against left-handed starting pitchers, and they’re just 1-8 in the last nine home games against the Jays.
In addition, Baltimore has won just 16 of its last 52 meetings with Toronto overall. This won’t end well for the home side.
Over/Under (O/U)
The OVER 11 (-105) is a good play, as the Blue Jays should be able to roll up plenty of runs.
Plus, the O’s bullpen is 25th in the majors with an aggregate ERA of 4.80, so look for Toronto to score often.
