LSU QB Myles Brennan excited about the NCAA approving NIL

Brennan is just one player excited to capitalize on the NCAA’s ruling on NIL.

The NCAA recently adopted a uniform interim policy allowing student-athletes to make profits off their image and likeness.

A statement regarding the recent adoption reads, “Governance bodies in all three divisions today adopted a uniform interim policy suspending NCAA name, image and likeness rules for all incoming and current student-athletes in all sports.”

Athletes will now be able to make money publicly without violating any of the NCAA’s rules.

LSU quarterback Myles Brennan shared his excitement on Twitter about this new legislation saying “Very excited to start working with some amazing companies to help them achieve their dreams as I am working very hard everyday to achieve mine. As always, Geaux Tigers!”

The tweet came an hour after the NCAA released the statement allowing athletes to profit off their name.

Now, not only was Brennan anticipating getting back on the field, but he is looking forward to capitalizing monetarily once he makes his return.

This is Brennan’s fifth season at quarterback for LSU. He played three games during the 2020 season, and he completed 79-of-131 passes with 11 touchdowns and three interceptions before missing the end of the season due to an abdomen tear.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback was rumored to transfer out of LSU in 2019, but he decided to stay, and is now in a battle for the starting quarterback position for the upcoming season. Many believe he still has a great future with the Tigers and believe he will do extremely well in the upcoming season.

This opportunity is huge for student-athletes.
