The last three Alabama quarterbacks have been drafted to the NFL. Tua Tagovailoa was selected No. 5 overall to the Miami Dolphins, Mac Jones at No. 15 by the New England Patriots and Jalen Hurts in the second round to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Now, the Crimson Tide will turn to sophomore Bryce Young, the former five-star recruit out of California, to lead the offense.
Some may say it’s too early to look at mock drafts for the 2022 NFL draft. However, no one says we couldn’t check out what experts are thinking about the 2023 draft class!
So where might Young land if he decides to leave Alabama a year early to pursue a career in the NFL? Some experts weigh in.
No. 1 overall: ‘Fueled By Sports’‘ 2023 mock draft predicts Young will be the first overall draft pick to the Atlanta Falcons.
No. 2 overall: Ian Cummings of Pro Football Network believes Young will land second overall to the Houston Texans. The first overall pick in Cummings’ mock draft is Clemson’s D.J. Uigalelei.
No. 3 overall: ‘NFL Draft Room’ doesn’t have any teams on this mock draft, so it’s more so just a running list, but they have Young listed at No. 3 behind Oregon linebacker Noah Sewell and Clemson’s Uigalelei.
No. 26 overall: ‘Walter Football’ predicts Young will be drafted late in the first round by the Denver Broncos.
There’s no telling where Young will land, especially considering he has two seasons left at Alabama and a lot can change.
