Donovan Mitchell did everything he could for the Jazz in game 6. Their star guard finished with 39 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 9 made 3-pointers.
And, for most of the game, things were going well. The Jazz played well enough to have a 25 point lead, after all. And they led by as many as 19 points in the 3rd quarter. They should’ve been in good shape.
But then…Terrance Mann happened.
He scored 20 points in the 3rd quarter and a career-high 39 points for the entire game. He hit shot after shot after shot, going 7-10 from deep and 15-21 from the field overall.
He only missed six shots for the game. SIX. On his way to a career high. In a game 6 to get the Clippers to their first Conference Finals in 50 years. That’s unbelievable. Like, literally unbelievable.
Donovan Mitchell himself couldn’t believe it. His face says it all here.

Oof. Look at this face, man.
That face says it all about the Jazz’s blown lead, blown series and this loss. Yet another season where they’re sent home by an improbable comeback.
Maybe next year, Jazz fans. Maybe next year.
