The Atlanta Falcons selected nine players in the 2021 NFL draft but had yet to sign a single one of them until Tuesday afternoon. It was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that the team had signed its sixth-round pick, wide receiver Frank Darby.
Shortly after, the Falcons announced that five total members of their draft class have been inked to their rookie deals.

Offensive lineman Jalen Mayfield, defensive lineman Ta’Quon Graham, EDGE Adetokunbo Ogundeji, cornerback Avery Williams and Darby have all been signed.
Now that Julio Jones’ $15.3 million salary will be paid by the Tennessee Titans, the team cleared enough room to potentially add another free agent or two after the 2021 class is under contract. Atlanta still has four more players to sign from this year’s draft class, including first-round pick Kyle Pitts and second-round pick Richie Grant.
