Rams fans were unfortunately unable to experience a game in the magnificent SoFi Stadium last season, the first year of the building being open. The COVID-19 pandemic caused the Rams to play all of their home games with no fans in the stands, which certainly wasn’t the way they wanted to open their $5 billion stadium.
Fans got a sneak peek at the stadium earlier this year when the team welcomed season-ticket members to sit in their seats and check out their view for games this year, but they’ll be treated to something even better Thursday.
The Rams are holding an open practice on June 10 to close out minicamp, and according to Peter Schrager of NFL Network, the team is expecting 30,000 fans to attend. That’s a massive crowd for a practice, but it shows how excited fans are to finally watch any bit of football at the new stadium.
As I noted on @GMFB, the @RamsNFL are expecting an estimated 30,000 fans at SoFi today for a minicamp practice.
First time they'll see the stadium, Stafford, and the new uniforms in person.
Football is back. And that's because the fans are back.

The practice will take place from 4-7 p.m. PT and is open to season-ticket members and the general public. Fans will also hear from Sean McVay, Les Snead and some players, making it a great event for everyone attending.
