The game of basketball can almost be simple sometimes. The game can really be make or miss sometimes which means either one will make shots or miss them. Therefore, bad games will happen in the NBA.
For Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton, he had himself a solid season series against the Washington Wizards. He averaged 18.7 points and he shot 58.8% from the floor and 40% from deep in the three games against Washington.
That has been the complete opposite thus far in their Round 1 series with the Wizards as he is averaging 2.5 points and he is shooting just 1-for-9 from the floor and 1-for-3 in the first two games of the series. The Sixers have been able to get big performances out of others off their bench, but they rely on Milton to provide the offense off their bench.
As the scene now shifts to D.C. for Game 3 on Saturday, veteran Dwight Howard has the utmost confidence that the young guard out of SMU will figure it out.
“For Shake, he’s been in the gym every day getting extra shots up,” said Howard. “I know that he’s going to come back tonight and for the rest of this series and have some great offensive scoring nights. I’m looking forward to it and we have total confidence in his skillset and his ability so no doubt in my mind that tonight and Monday night, Shake will play great.”

On the flip side, as mentioned, this is the way the game goes at times. There will be times where every shot is going in and there will be days where it feels like nothing will drop. For Milton, and the rest of the team’s bench unit, they just have to keep at it to get everything back on track.
“It’s a playoff series,” Howard added. “You might not have your best game every night. I felt like I was 0-for6 in the last game we had so I feel like, for me, I just have to continue to stay positive and not allow those games like that to affect everything else on the court and it is hard.”
The Sixers will be looking to take a 3-0 stranglehold on the series when the two teams tip off at 7 p.m. EDT from Capital One Arena in Washington D.C.
