After an early entrance to the offseason, some members of the Golden State Warriors are shifting their focus towards the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
While it’s still unclear if Steph Curry and Draymond Green will suit up for Team USA in the summer games, a pair of players will represent the Warriors at Team Canada’s 2021 training camp.
On Thursday, Team Canada announced their 21-player training camp roster for the lead into the Olympics that included Golden State’s Mychal Mulder and Andrew Wiggins.
While Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray and Chris Boucher were left off due to injury, the training camp roster includes other NBA players like RJ Barrett, Dillon Brooks, Khem Birch, Lu Dort, Brandon Clarke and Kelly Olynyk.
Before punching a ticket to the Olympics in Tokyo, Team Canada will need to seal a victory in a qualifying tournament in Victoria, BC in June.
