Former Oklahoma guard Alondes Williams transferring to Wake Forest

Former Oklahoma guard Alondes Williams announced on Friday that he is transferring to Wake Forest.

Another former Oklahoma basketball player has found their new home as senior guard Alondes Williams is heading to the ACC to join the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.

Williams had previously announced he was entering the transfer portal back over a month ago and was the last remaining Sooner that had left the program that was still yet to find their landing spot. While the transfer portal has been very kind to Porter Moser and Oklahoma this offseason with several significant additions, the portal has also seen numerous key contributors from last season find a new team.

Williams joins De’Vion Harmon (Oregon), Brady Manek (North Carolina), Kur Kuath (Marquette), Trey Phipps (Oral Roberts) and Victor Iwuakor (UNLV) among others to transfer elsewhere this offseason.

The Sooners, meanwhile, still have one more roster spot to play around with so their time scanning the transfer portal isn’t quite done yet either. Sooners Wire will provide updates on who that that player will be when the information becomes available.
