New York Giants veterans may be skipping voluntary organized team activities and minicamps per the NFLPA’s request, but that doesn’t mean they’re not working hard.
On the heels of some private workouts organized by quarterback Daniel Jones in Arizona, safety Logan Ryan has now summoned the team’s entire secondary to Florida for some additional workouts.
The group is being led by long-time trainer Yo Murphy.

Former NFL WR Yo Murphy trains players, including Logan Ryan. Murphy’s IG story shows a bunch of Giants DBs training with Ryan in Florida, including James Bradberry, Adoree’ Jackson, Xavier McKinney, Julian Love, Isaac Yiadom, Madre Harper, Jarren Williams and Chris Milton.

Ryan, who has taken on an extremely important leadership role with the Giants, had spent last offseason working with Murphy before signing with Joe Judge’s squad.
“I knew Logan’s game, so I had respect for that,” Murphy told NorthJersey.com and USA TODAY Network in September. “But I’d be lying if I told you he didn’t surprise me with how he trained — he was locked in and so intense each day, it was something. I’ve worked with hundreds of defensive backs, and he was the first guy who liked going through the same drills as a receiver and then as a defensive back.
“He’d run an out route, if he dropped the ball, he’d be hard on himself and want to run it back — as a receiver. I’d be like, ‘Log, you’re a DB, man, not a wide receiver,’ but he didn’t play games. We were going over everything – go route, corner route, slot, outside, everything – and he perfected running and stopping all of it.”
On paper, the Giants have one of the best secondaries in football and if Ryan can help it, that will translate into one of the best secondaries on the field for 18 weeks this season.
