Former Texas quarterback Vince Young has spoken out for the first time since the tragic death of Longhorns linebacker Jake Ehlinger.
Jake Ehlinger, younger brother of former Texas quarterback and Indianapolis Colts draft pick Sam Ehlinger, was found dead not far from campus on Thursday. Police have not released a cause of death and noted that the death is not considered suspicious. He was 20 years old.
On Sunday, Young shared a touching tribute to the Ehlinger family which included a photograph of Sam, Jake and Morgen Ehlinger as children. The Ehlinger brothers are seen wearing Vince Young jerseys for Halloween.
He offered his condolences to the family and reiterated that Longhorn Nation will be there for the family during this horrific time.

Tributes to the Ehlinger family continue to flood social media. Players and coaches from rival programs, current and former coaches and teammates among numerous others have offered their condolences and support to the Ehlinger family.
Colts owner Jim Isray released a statement shortly after the heartbreaking news was released. “It’s very sad and tragic news that we received this afternoon during such an exciting time for the family, and our hearts and prayers are with the whole family. I know how close they were, and we’re just really stunned, but we are prayerful and we know God has a plan. We are doing everything we can to console the family and do what we can to make things as easy as possible at this difficult time.”
