With Emoni Bates decommitting from Michigan State, the Michigan basketball star had a hilarious reaction.

It was a tenuous commitment at best, and while Michigan basketball fans tried telling rival Michigan State fans that five-star Emoni Bates, the elite Ypsilanti-based forward, wouldn’t end up wearing green and white, the Spartans faithful didn’t want to hear it.

On Friday evening, Bates told Tipton Edits and Jake Weingarten from Stockrisers that he has decommitted from MSU and that he’ll continue to weight intercollegiate and pro options moving forward.

Naturally, that’s when Hunter Dickinson, the star Michigan center, got involved.

Dickinson hasn’t exactly been shy since arriving in Ann Arbor, having enraged the Maryland bench while being outspoken against his rivals in the Big Ten. And when the news about Bates crossed his proverbial desk, he couldn’t help himself but to say a little something.

Assuredly, Dickinson’s words here won’t ingratiate himself any more with the Spartans faithful. And that’s something you love to see.
