The Cleveland Browns are coming off a fantastically successful season, the franchise’s best in over 25 years. And they are poised for bigger and better things in 2021.
Don’t just take our word for it. The good folks over at Pro Football Focus are very bullish on what the Browns GM Andrew Berry and the team have assembled in Cleveland. Even before the Browns make their selections in next week’s 2021 NFL draft, PFF believes the Browns are the class of the AFC.
In its ranking of the rosters for all 32 teams entering the draft, PFF pegs the Browns at No. 2 overall. Only the defending champion Buccaneers–who return all 22 starters intact–are ahead of Cleveland.
“The Browns put on a clinic in free agency this offseason, signing top-tier players at positions of need and for a great price, too.”
The Browns are one spot ahead of the team that ended their 2020 run, the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs. The only other AFC North team in the top half of the league rankings is the Baltimore Ravens at No. 7.
