After dropping an extra-inning affair in its series opener at South Carolina on Saturday, the Lady Vols bounced back to capture an 11-0 six-inning victory over the Gamecocks Sunday night.
The two teams will conclude their series tonight at Carolina Softball Stadium in Columbia.
First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. EDT.
On Sunday, left fielder Cailin Hannon went 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles for No. 16 Tennessee (32-7, 5-6 SEC), which scored four runs in the top of the second inning.
UT opened its scoring against the Gamecocks (23-16, 2-12) when Ally Shipman came up with an RBI double before Hannon had a three-run double to extend the Lady Vols advantage to 4-0.
In the fourth, Ashley Morgan picked up an RBI with a sacrifice fly to make it 5-0. Kiki Milloy had an RBI single in the fifth.
The Lady Vols enjoyed a five-run frame in the sixth as Shipman came up with a two-run single. Hannon recorded another RBI double, while Kailin Parsons added a scoring single and Anna Fox knocked in a run when she grounded out.
In the circle, Tennessee’s Callie Turner (8-1) surrendered one hit. She hit one batter in a six-inning complete game.
