Cardinals most likely to draft CB in 1st round, per betting odds

Cornerback is the betting favorite for the Arizona Cardinals to select with their first pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

The Arizona Cardinals could go a lot of different ways with their first-round selection in the 2021 NFL draft. Most mock drafts have them taking a cornerback, but they could also take an offensive lineman, a pass rusher or even a receiver.

BetMGM has odds for the position of the first player each team selects and for the Cardinals, the favorite is, unsurprisingly, cornerback.

The odds for the most likely positions are as follows:

  • Cornerback +125 (Bet $100 to win $125)
  • Offensive lineman +450 (Bet $100 to win $450)
  • Defensive lineman +500
  • Wide receiver +500
  • Linebacker +550

It is possible the Cardinals could select a running back, but the odds of that go much longer at +3500, making it seem that it is very much a long shot the Cardinals go that route.

That, however, might be a sneaky good bet because the Cardinals could potentially trade down into the 20s and then a running back like Najee Harris or Travis Etienne would make some sense.
