Texas continues to target big-bodied lineman on both sides of the ball.
On Friday, defensive tackle Deone Walker announced that he received an offer from the University of Texas. The 6-foot-6, 304-pound Michigan native is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals and a top-10 player in the state from the 2022 recruiting class.
He’s compiled an impressive list of offers from Power Five programs such as Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Florida, Tennessee and Penn State among others. At the time, there’s no clear leader in his recruitment.
Texas defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski had a rep for using “two nose tackles” at a time while he was at Washington.
