South Carolina’s women won’t play again until the SEC Championship, but the Gamecocks will enter the postseason as the top-ranked team in Division I women’s golf.
South Carolina was the unanimous No. 1 in Division I, receiving all 22 first-place votes. Last week, four Gamecocks competed in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. Before that, the team won back-to-back titles at the Valspar Augusta Invitational and Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic.
Duke University jumps five spots to No. 2. Wake Forest University, Louisiana State University and Florida State University all remain in the top-five, ranking No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
