A reminder that the Masters food prices are the best deal in all of sports

A few years ago, former For The Win colleague Luke Kerr-Dineen answered a question that seems like it gets asked every year: why doesn’t Augusta National sell its food — or ratchet up the prices on just about everything — for high prices like we see all over the sports world?

The answer was they make A LOT of money from broadcast rights and the Masters experience becomes a brand in of itself. And sandwiches for $1.50 (for the classic Pimento Cheese or Egg Salad) to just $3 (for a Bar-B-Que) are part of that.

So, as a reminder, here’s a look at the best deal in all of sports:
