Former New York Giants wide receiver Travis Rudolph was arrested in Florida on Wednesday and charged with first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder.
The Orlando Sun-Sentinel reports that the 25-year-old Rudolph was taken into custody after police officers discovered one deceased victim and another badly injured victim at a Florida residence following reports of a shooting.
Rudolph, 25, was arrested Wednesday morning after Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a double shooting in the 500 block of North Redwood Drive in Lake Park. One male victim was found dead, while another was taken to a hospital.

Rudolph signed with the Giants as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Florida State in 2017. He remained with the team until September 1, 2018 when he was released as a part of final cuts. He later signed with the Miami Dolphins but suffered a torn ACL in his first practice and landed on injured reserve.
Although Rudolph never made it back to the NFL, he did sign with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL in December 2019.
In seven games (one start) with the Giants, Rudolph hauled in eight receptions for 101 yards.
More to come…
