Shake Milton praises Tobias Harris for being a bucket, leader for Sixers

Philadelphia 76ers guard Shake Milton praises Tobias Harris for his offensive output and his leadership skills.

Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris is having the best season of his career in 2020-21. He is averaging a career-high 20.8 points and he is shooting over 52% from the floor and over 40% from deep. He is also shooting 89.9% from the free-throw line as he continues his efficiency.

He has been a huge reason why the Sixers have had as much success as they have had this season. They are sitting at the 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and he is a guy who has really taken over for them when it comes to late-game scoring when the team needs a bucket.

One thing that continues to be said about Harris is that he has been playing at an All-Star level all season. He probably should have been named to the roster back at All-Star weekend in March, but he has not let that bother him too much on the floor.

“He’s just been consistent,” said Shake Milton. “He’s played at an All-Star level from the beginning of the season. He’s a bucket, whichever way you want to do it post up, shooting off screens, coming up, it doesn’t really matter.”

(function (d, s, n) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
js = d.createElement(s);
js.className = n;
js.src = “//player.ex.co/player/d8b9c085-4226-44f1-8495-36ad4e2aa62d”;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, ‘script’, ‘exco-player’));

Another thing that Harris has continues to prove for this team has been his leadership skills. He has continued to step forward and he has done a lot of things for this team in the locker room in terms of keeping them together when the chips are down as well as being the guy who is pushing others to improve their game.

“His leadership skills also in the locker room,” Milton explained. “He’s always talking and he’s going to tell us when we’re doing good and he’s also gonna tell us when you know we got to get our stuff together. His presence alone has been huge this season.”

Philadelphia will need all of that and more as the season continues. They are in a battle with the Brooklyn Nets in order to earn the top seed in the Eastern Conference and Harris has been a huge reason why they even have a shot.

They will take on the Boston Celtics at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Tuesday.
