The NFL draft hype around Florida tight end Kyle Pitts was already pretty high heading into his pro day.
But then, the nearly 6-foot-6 and 246-pound Pitts ran the 40-yard dash … in an unofficial 4.44 seconds.
(Yes, we have to take 40 times with a grain of salt since they’re not at the combine, but whatever. That’s super fast for a tight end. WOW!)
Twitter was wowed, as was another tight end: San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle, who responded to a video of Pitts’ run with a GIF of Steve Buscemi saying “Sheesh!” in The Big Lebowski.
Yep. We all agree. What would be amazing is if the Niners traded up to pair Pitts with Kittle … but we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
