The Los Angeles Kings (13-14-6) and Vegas Golden Knights (24-8-1) face off Wednesday in the back end of a two-game set. Puck drop is slated for 10 p.m. ET at T-Mobile Arena. Below, we analyze the Kings-Golden Knights odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.
The Golden Knights took Monday’s opener 4-1 despite the Kings scoring first – on D Matt Roy‘s goal one minute into the game. The Knights took control in the second with a goal apiece from RW Reilly Smith, LW Tomas Nosek and D Nicolas Hague – all against Kings G Jonathan Quick. D Alec Martinez‘s third-period tally rounded out the scoring.
Vegas G Robin Lehner was the winning goalie, stopping 24 of 25 shots. Quick allowed 4 goals on 24 shots in taking the loss.
The Kings have lost 3 games in a row and 4 of 5; the Knights have won 2 in a row and 3 of 4.

Kings at Golden Knights: Projected starting goalies
Calvin Petersen (6-7-4, 2.54 GAA, .923 SV%) vs. Marc-Andre Fleury (17-7-0, 2.06 GAA, .927 SV%, 4 SO)
Petersen and Quick have alternated starts across Los Angeles’ last six games, so Wednesday would be Petersen’s turn. He lost his last outing, giving up 4 goals on 28 shots in a 4-2 setback at the San Jose Sharks Saturday. The 26-year-old Notre Dame product won his previous two games, including a 3-1 home victory vs. Vegas March 21 when he allowed just 1 goal on 42 shots.
Fleury will likely get the nod for the Golden Knights since Lehner started Monday. “Flower” was last between the pipes for Saturday’s 3-2 overtime win at the Colorado Avalanche as he surrendered 2 goals on 24 shots. He is 2-2 in his last four starts, but 5-2 in his last seven. Against the Kings this season, Fleury is 1-1 with a 2.56 GAA and .917 SV%, including the 3-1 road loss to L.A. March 21 when he allowed 3 goals on 31 shots.

Against the spread (ATS)
VEGAS -1.5 (+115) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager. The Golden Knights, who are 14-2-1 at home, are head and shoulders better than the Kings. Vegas is also 14-4 in its last 18 games and will dominate and win a seventh consecutive home contest.
ATS records: Kings 22-11 | Golden Knights 14-19
Over/Under (O/U)
UNDER 5.5 (-110) is the way to go. My projection calls for a Fleury shutout. The Under is 4-0 in the Kings’ last 4 games as road underdogs and it’s 6-1 in the Kings’ last 7 games as dogs – home or away.
O/U: Kings 17-16 | Golden Knights 17-15
