The Arizona Coyotes (16-14-5) travel to meet the Colorado Avalanche (22-8-4) Wednesday for a 9:30 p.m. ET puck drop at Ball Arena. Below, we analyze the Coyotes-Avalanche odds and lines, with NHL picks and predictions.
The Coyotes enter on a three-game win streak, including a 4-0 shutout of the San Jose Sharks in Arizona Saturday in their most recent showing. A 5-4 shootout win over the Avalanche as huge underdogs kicked off the win streak.
The Avalanche streak into this game without a loss in regulation since March 8, which just happened to be at home against the Coyotes. They’re 9-0-2 across the impressive stretch, and they enter play just one point back of first place in the West Division.

Coyotes at Avalanche: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Avalanche 5, Coyotes 2
Money line (ML)
The Avalanche (-275) are just too expensive to bet straight up, as they will cost you nearly three times your potential return. Over the long haul that’s not a winning formula.

Against the spread (ATS)
The AVALANCHE -1.5 (-105) are worth playing rather than the expensive money line. Yes, Hill is on a three-game heater, including a win over Colorado; however, Grubauer’s overall body of work is much more impressive, and the Avalanche are averaging 4.89 goals per game across their past nine outings.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 5.5 (-110) is the play, as the Avs are going for nearly 5 markers per night across their past nine outings.
In the most recent meetings in Arizona March 22-23, the Over connected both times. The Colorado offense has hit its stride, and not even the red-hot Hill will offer much resistance.
