While he may not make it to the NBA until the 2022-23 season if he can’t get out of his current deal with Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Israeli Premier Basketball League, the Boston Celtics’ 2020 Draft stash Yam Madar is doing quite well overseas.
The Celtics point guard prospect has been one of the few bright spots for Hapoel Tel Aviv, which may explain why they are reticent to let him out of his contract at the end of this season as much as it is a likely reason why Madar wants out, with both sides claiming their interpretation of the situation is the right one per terms of the deal.
In his most recent game against Maccabi Haifa, Madar put up 9 points, 6 assists and a steal.
