The Texas Longhorns are looking to win their first Big 12 championship game in program history.
They face off against an Oklahoma State Cowboys team who features the future No. 1 overall draft pick in Cade Cunningham. The Cowboys just got done beating one of the top teams in the country in Baylor. Through the first 20 minutes, the Longhorns have dominated, leading 43-33.
Texas is out scoring the Cowboys 55.2% to 42.2% for the game, leading by as much as 14 points.
As mentioned before, Cade Cunningham is the player that everyone has their eyes on, but Texas has neutralized him to only four points on 25% shooting with four personal fouls.
Kai Jones has been the star for Texas so far, leading all scores with 11, along with his paint-mate Jericho Sims with nine. Together, they have controlled the paint for the first half.
The Longhorns are 20 minutes from their first conference championship. If they keep playing as they’ve done, the trophy will be heading to Austin.
