The Texas Longhorns and Steve Sarkisian are hoping to find a diamond in the rough in three-star defensive tackle Aaron Bryant.
Bryant announced via Twitter on Thursday that he received an offer from the University of Texas after speaking with Sarkisian and safeties coach Blake Gideon. He’s rated the No. 17 overall player out of Mississippi in the 2022 recruiting class and a top 50 player at his position according to 247Sports.
Over the last two weeks, the Mississippi native has received offers from Texas, Oregon and Alabama. As a junior in 2020, Bryant compiled 68 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, six sacks and four forced fumbles for Southaven High School.
The 6-4, 300-pound prospect currently has two 247Sports crystal ball predictions entered for Ole Miss.
