It won’t be business as usual this year, but the NFL is still inviting over 300 prospects to participate in an augmented version of this year’s Scouting Combine in preparation for the 2021 NFL draft.
This year’s event won’t be the typical version held in Indianapolis due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, with a heavy emphasis on virtual meetings, localized medical checks and an enhanced pro day circuit.
Between the loss of the traditional combine setup, and the fact that many of this year’s top prospects either opted out of the 2020 season entirely or have limited film compared to other years, this year’s draft process will certainly present some unique challenges to both teams and players.
