The Boston Celtics hope to avoid making it a four-game losing streak when they return home from a road trip to TD Garden to face the Indiana Pacers, themselves trying to avoid a losing streak after dropping six of their last 10 games.
Currently in the East’s fourth-place spot, the Pacers haven’t been doing as well as they had earlier in the season when they last faced the Celtics, but are also clearly playing much more cohesive, invested basketball at the moment. Expect Boston to make a game of things even if they may not be quite ready to turn things around before the return of veteran guard Marcus Smart.
Expectations tempered, this also could be the start of something positive for Boston.
