One of the top in-state cornerbacks is down to three schools.

Four-star prospect Bobby Taylor released a top three list of Michigan, Texas, and Texas A&M on Monday afternoon. Schools such as Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma, and USC were cut from the cornerback’s top 12 list released in July.

Taylor is expected to commit on Feb. 24. The 247Sports crystal ball has Texas A&M leading the way with eight predictions favoring the Aggies. A combined confidence level of six out of 10 have been given.

The current junior comes out of Katy, Texas, and Katy High School. He ranks as the No. 25 cornerback and No. 208 prospect in the country. Within the state, Taylor is the No. 32 player. All rankings reflect the 247Sports composite.

Michigan was Taylor’s most recent offer on Jan. 19. Texas A&M and Texas were in on him early, extending offers on Oct. 26, 2019, and Jan. 20, 2020, respectively.

Cornerback will be a position Texas is going to push hard for throughout the 2022 cycle. Four-star Jaylon Guilbeau is already in the class, while five-star Denver Harris is seen as the top target. Adding Taylor would bring fresh life to what could be a depleted position group going into the 2022 season.
