Both of the Oklahoma Sooners basketball teams traveled to Morgantown, West Virginia, over the weekend. Both of which had top 20 matchups on the court with the Mountaineers. Both came out on top by the exact same margin, one point.
That isn’t where the similarities ended for the Sooners basketball squads. It took four periods for both to pull off the victory. Of course, the men went into double overtime, while the women played the normal four quarters. One player from each team took home honors from the Big 12 Conference.
Austin Reaves flirted with a triple-double in this game missing the mark by one rebound and three assists but he was the game-high scorer with 28 points. The most important shot he took all game was the floater in the pain with under 30 seconds remaining in the second overtime period to go up 91-90.
