Although the Wisconsin Badgers were not able to pull off the upset on Sunday against the Michigan Wolverines, the close effort, and win against the Nebraska Cornhusker earlier in the week, were enough to keep the Badgers put at No. 21 in the latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
Wisconsin dominated the second half against Nebraska, and they were able to use that momentum in the first half against the Wolverines to jump out to a 14-point lead at halftime. Unfortunately, No. 3 Michigan was able to shake off the rust from their 23-day hiatus in the second half, beating the Badgers 67-59. The Badgers showed a lot of promise, despite losing the game, against a very talented Michigan team and will try to carry over the positives to their matchup against No. 14 Iowa on Thursday night.
Even though Wisconsin has not moved, there have been several changes for the Big Ten in the latest Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll. Ohio State and Illinois each moved up one spot to No. 4 and No. 6, while Iowa has jumped up two spots to No. 14. Michigan has remained at No. 3 after defeating the Badgers, while Purdue fell out of the poll after losing to Minnesota.
Riding a three-game winning streak, @OregonMBB not only joined the latest @FerrisMowers Poll but the Ducks are also this week's biggest riser.
