LOOK: Ohio State climbs in Andy Katz’s Power 36 college basketball opinion poll

See where Andy Katz has Ohio State ranked in the Power 36 as well as his prediction on the Buckeyes NCAA Tournament seeding.

The Ohio State basketball team is rolling and playing with a real sense of confidence right now. And people are starting to take notice, especially in the national media.

Andy Katz has released his new Power 36 poll and after jumping into the top ten last week at No. 8, Katz has moved the Buckeyes up to No. 4 this week. Chris Holtman’s club got an upset win in Iowa last Thursday and didn’t let the hangover last taking care of Maryland earlier this week.

This is another impressive jump for the Buckeyes. Katz has fallen in line with the other national polls keeping Michigan ahead of OSU despite the Wolverines not playing since January 22. Assuming the Wolverines can get back on the floor, the Bucks will have their chance to really make a statement when they face their arch-rival on February 21.

Katz has also released his March Madness bracket prediction and has planted Ohio State as a No. 1 seed. There’s obviously a lot of basketball yet to be played, but it’s nice to see the Buckeyes getting some love.

You can get a look at the complete poll by heading over to NCAA.com, but here is the top 10:

1. Gonzaga

2. Baylor

3. Michigan

4. Ohio State

5. Illinois

6.Villanova

7. Texas Tech

8. Oklahoma

9. Missouri

10. Virginia

Ohio State is next in action against Indiana this Saturday at noon on ESPN.
