Doc Rivers not sure what happened to Shake Milton, believes he’s fine

Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers provides an update on guard Shake Milton after his fall late in the win.

Late in the fourth quarter of a 119-111 win for the Philadelphia 76ers, backup guard Shake Milton took a tumble. He was having a solid quarter scoring five big points there and providing a lift, but he took a hard fall on a drive late in the game.

He was on the ground for a bit and he was grabbing at his ankle after a turnover and the Sixers had to take him out. They were able to close out the win, but the concern then turned to a valuable piece of their team.

Coach Doc Rivers was not sure what happened to Milton, but he did not sound too concerned about him.

“I have no idea,” said Rivers after the win. “I think he turned the ball over. That’s the part I remember. The injury part, I don’t remember. I think he’s okay, honestly. He looked fine after the game, but we’ll see. My guess it was ankle related, but I’m not sure.”

The Sixers will need him in the next matchup as they take on the Portland Trail Blazers to continue the trip. Milton had 11 points overall and his five points in the fourth quarter gave a big lift to ensure the team walked away with a win over the Sacramento Kings.
