With Super Bowl LV barely in the rearview mirror, oddsmakers are already looking ahead to next season’s Super Bowl. Naturally, they aren’t too fond of the Jets’ chances of participating in Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The Jets watched from afar as Tom Brady hoisted his seventh Lombardi Trophy in a 31-9 rout of the Chiefs on Sunday night. While New York believes it is headed in the right direction and Robert Saleh has outwardly said that the Jets will win championships, they are still a ways away from competing for a Super Bowl.
On Monday, BetMGM released its initial odds for Super Bowl LVI. The Jets are tied with the Texans, Lions and Bengals for the second-worst odds at +8000. Only the Jaguars have worse odds at +10000.
As for the rest of the AFC East, the Bills are tied for the third-best odds at +1200, while the Dolphins (+2500) and Patriots (+3000) make up the middle of the pack.
The Chiefs (+550) lead the league, with the Packers (+900) and Buccaneers (+1000) trailing behind them.
