Game balls following LSU basketball’s loss to Alabama

LSU basketball lost 78-60 to Alabama, but freshman Cam Thomas scored 22 points to lead the team.

On Wednesday, the LSU Tigers basketball team lost 78-60 at Alabama. It is the second time this season the Crimson Tide has taken down the Tigers.

LSU trailed 36-30 at the half and got outscored 42-30 in the second half. The Tigers’ largest lead was just two points.

The Tigers fell to 11-6 on the season with the loss. The program hasn’t won back to back games since January 13 and 16 when LSU beat Arkansas and South Carolina.

Here are the top performers from the Tigers’ loss on Wednesday.

Cam Thomas

Once again, Thomas led the Tigers in scoring. The star freshman scored 22 points on 8-of-19 shooting and 4-of-4 at the free throw line. In 34 minutes on the court, Thomas went 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and also hauled in three rebounds.

Even though the Tigers lost, the program’s talented freshman continues to lead the way on the floor.
