- Creighton is 9-2 over its last 11 games, and the Bluejay defense has been at the forefront of that surge. In the 11 games, CU has held foes to a 39.5% mark from the field. For the season, the ‘Jays have held opponents under 70 points in eight games; six of those were on home hardwood.
- Georgetown came off a 21-day COVID-19-induced hiatus Saturday to defeat Providence 73-72 at home. The Hoyas had their previous four games postponed. GU went 15-for-19 from the free-throw line in the victory. The Hoyas are shooting a robust 78.4% from the lie since Dec. 11; overall, their rate of free throws per possession ranks as bottom-50 in the nation.
- The Hoyas are looking for their first win in Omaha since 2015. Since then, the Bluejays are undefeated in five home games against Georgetown. Creighton won last year’s home game against GU 91-76. The ‘Jays hit a season-high 17 treys in that contest.
