Texas’ new coaching staff has hit the ground running on the recruiting trail.
Steve Sarkisian and Co. are already targeting some of the top players in the country from the 2022 recruiting class. On Tuesday, the Longhorns offered four-star prospect Jaleel Skinner out of Greer, South Carolina.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound playmaker can play all over the field, primarily at tight end, wide receiver, or defensive back. Skinner is also a multi-sport athlete who plays basketball and ran track previously.
He’s currently listed as the No. 1 tight end prospect in the country according to 247Sports. Although he’s projected to commit to Clemson at the time being, new tight ends coach Jeff Banks is an excellent recruiter and can make a hard push for the South Carolina native over the coming weeks.
As a top 100 prospect overall, Skinner has compiled a long list of impressive offers thus far.
