Spurs at Pelicans: Odds, betting lines, predictions and picks

Prediction

Spurs 121, Pelicans 112

Money line (ML)

The SPURS (+115) are a good play on the road as short ‘dogs. San Antonio is coming off an impressive 121-101 win over Washington, and they have posted a 3-2 SU/ATS across the past five outings. The Pelicans (-140) enter on a three-game skid, and they have won just once in the previous nine. You can’t back a favorite that is skidding that badly.

Against the spread (ATS)

The SPURS +2.5 (-110) aren’t as good of a value as they are straight up, but if you want a little insurance, have at it. The Pelicans are 2-7 ATS across the past nine, while the Spurs are a more respectable 6-5 ATS over the past 11.

Yes, the last time San Antonio was in the Crescent City they lost 98-95 as five-point underdogs back on Dec. 27, but that’s when New Orleans was playing much better ball. They have since fallen apart.

Over/Under (O/U)

OVER 224.5 (-110) is a good play, as the Over has cashed in four in a row for NOLA, and nine of the past 10. For the Spurs, the Under has been the rule lately, going 6-2 across the past eight, and it easily hit in that first visit to New Orleans in late December. However, the Spurs enter with a lot of confidence after dropping 121 last time out, and they have scored 117 or more in three of the past four.
