The Ohio State basketball team lost a heartbreaker to Purdue Tuesday night. It’s one the Buckeyes will look back on and feel it should have notched in the win column. To be fair, there’s been a couple of those this season, and there might be a couple of more in a league as tough as the Big Ten.
On the flip side, Purdue got a win it probably felt it was able to claw through and win in the face of adversity. It was two teams tied among the upper division of the league, but not any longer.
Boilermakers head coach Matt Painter knows how big of a win it was Tuesday and made it known after the game as he met with the press during a Zoom call. True to form, he had some complimentary things to say about Ohio State and we’ve got his full comments here thanks to the YouTube Channel of Purdue Sports.
Watch the below and listen to Painter talk about how hard some of OSU’s personnel is to guard and much more.
