There was a brief update on some Brian Daboll news on Tuesday.
ESPN’s Sal Paolantonio, appearing on the morning program Get Up, connected another team to the Buffalo Bills’ offensive coordinator. It’s already been confirmed that Daboll has head head coaching interviews with the New York Jets and Los Angeles Chargers, but Paolantonio said there’s interest from the Philadelphia Eagles now as well.
The Eagles fired their previous head coach, Doug Pederson, on Monday in a surprise move.
Paolantonio did fall short of saying the Eagles have asked Bills for permission to interview Daboll just yet. In that same sense, a report over the weekend also connected Daboll to the Houston Texans‘ vacant position, but again, no permission for an interview has been asked from Houston just yet.
On the Texans, Bills defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier did confirm on Monday that he will interview for the Texans’ vacancy.
Finally, on the Jets and Chargers, Paolantonio added the Jets and Chargers’ interest in Daboll is “very serious.”
